The UFC is back for the fourth time this month, and are putting forth one of the most “meh” pay-per-views in quite some time. The original card was quite awesome, but injuries ravaged it to the point of no return. As a result, fans are left with a ppv that would be best served as a free Fight Night card.
Alas, while the pay-per-view portion of the card has been rattled to the core, the prelims have actually gotten better! Sure, the fight between John Makdessi and Abel Trujillo, one that was expected to be a surefire barnburner, had to be cancelled. However, the rest of the prelims remained intact, while the addition of Randa Markos vs. Aisling Daly made the Fight Pass portion one of the best ever.
I’m short on time, so here are my quick picks for the prelims.
Fight Pass Prelims (6:30/5:30c, UFC Fight Pass)
Randa Markos vs. Aislign Daly (15-5)
When it comes to the UFC’s Women’s Strawweight division, there might not be another woman with as much in-cage experience as Aisling Daly. Having fought 20 professional fights already,
Markos via unanimous decision.
LeTourneau via split decision.
Clements via tko, round 2.
Televised Prelims (8/7c, FS1)
Aubin-Mercier via submission, round 2.
Laprise via decision.
Kaufman via split decision.
Cote via decision.
