Week 11 is here! Tony Romo is back, and every early game is genuinely intriguing! Hopefully, the results reflect that.
Dallas Cowboys (2-7) at Miami Dolphins (4-5) (FOX)
Tony Romo is finally back for the Cowboys, so the Cowboys should at least seem watchable. The weather is expected to be erratic, with occasional torrential rain, which is why I have to go with a lower score. The Cowboys have to win again at some point, and I believe that will happen in a fun game today.
Prediction: Cowboys 20, Dolphins 13
Indianapolis Colts (4-5) at Atlanta Falcons (6-3) (CBS)
The Colts are tied for the division lead, but don’t have Andrew Luck, presumably until next month. Hasselbeck is a solid spot starter, but Atlanta is coming off a bye, and I expect them to overpower the undermanned Colts.
Prediction: Colts 20, Falcons 30
St. Louis Rams (4-5) at Baltimore Ravens (2-7) (FOX)
The Rams are struggling, and have benched Nick Foles. The Ravens are cursed this year. Todd Gurley is still a high-level back, and I see him leading the team to a gritty victory.
Prediction: Rams 21, Ravens 20
Denver Broncos (7-2) at Chicago Bears (4-5) (CBS)
No Manning? No Sanders? Even though the Bears have seemingly no receivers, I see them coming away with the upset today, in the final minutes.
Prediction: Broncos 20, Bears 23
Washington Redskins (4-5) at Carolina Panthers (9-0) (FOX)
The undefeated Panthers are taking on the Redskins? This should be an easy win, no? Well, hold up. The Redskins aren’t half bad this year, and are a challenge to every opponent they face. The Panthers will win, but it won’t be a blowout. I see them clinching it in the final quarter of a solid, enjoyable game.
Prediction: Redskins 17, Panthers 30
New York Jets (5-4) at Houston Texans (4-5) (CBS)
This game was expected to be an important one when the season started, and that remains the case. Both teams will improve their potential playoff chances with a win. The Jets are healthy, and the Texans are down to their third-string quarterback, newly resigned TJ Yates. They don’t have a running game, and while their defense is playing better, I don’t see them pulling this one out.
Jets 23, Texans 14
Tampa Bay Bucccaneers (4-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) (FOX)
Are the Bucs really 4-5? Can they really win in Philadelphia? I say yes, in a close one. Rejoice Bucs fans, your team is finally viable again.
Prediction: Buccaneers 21, Eagles 20
Oakland Raiders (4-5) at Detroit Lions (2-7) (CBS)
The final early game being addressed should be a good one. Both have high-powered offenses, decent defenses, and need a win. I see the Lions giving a good effort, but falling short in the end.
Prediction: Raiders 28, Lions 24
